Day 1: ARRIVE AUCKLAND

Transfer from the airport by Private Transfer to your overnight accommodation.

Day 2: AUCKLAND - BAY OF ISLANDS

Travel north across Auckland’s Harbour bridge, along the beautiful Hibiscus Coast to the Bay of Islands.

On arrival in the Bay of Islands visit the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. Considered to be the birth place of New Zealand as a bicultural nation, the Waitangi Treaty Grounds are set in an extensive park-like reserve. Learn about the first Maori canoes to New Zealand, the signing of the treaty of Waitangi and visit Te Whare Runanga, a fully carved Maori Meeting House which is representative of all Iwi (regional tribes) in New Zealand.

The remainder of today is at your leisure.

Day 3: BAY OF ISLANDS - AUCKLAND

Board the luxury catamaran at the Paihia Maritime Wharf and cruise to Cape Brett. This most popular cruise in the Bay of Islands will whisk you on a comfortable journey out through game fishing waters to the Cape Brett Lighthouse and the famous "Hole in the Rock". On the return journey time is taken to meander through the islands. View sandy beaches, beautiful bays and marine wildlife.  Upon return to Paihia your coach will return you to Auckland at approximately 8.10pm

Day 4: AUCKLAND - WAITOMO - ROTORUA

Travel south over the Bombay Hills, following the Waikato River to Hamilton, then on via Te Awamutu to Waitomo. The Waitomo Caves are considered to be one of the world’s great wonders. An unspoiled cave and karst landscape is covered by a vast expanse of farmland with a backdrop of bush clad hills and forest. Beneath this tranquil landscape is 50 km of cave passages, part of a limestone network sculpted by water into underground arches, valleys and outcrops.

Enjoy lunch before continuing on to the famous race- horse stud of Cambridge before travelling over the Mamaku ranges to Rotorua.

This evening you will be transferred from your accommodation, enjoy a Maori Hangi (feast) and concert. On conclusion, you will be returned to your hotel.

Day 5: ROTORUA

Nau mai, haere mai - welcome to Rotorua! Join us for a morning sightseeing excursion of New Zealand's thermal wonderland, rich in Maori culture and heritage and famous for its geothermal reserves, wildlife sanctuaries and fascinating landscape.
New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute - a guided tour shows you traditional crafts of flax weaving, wood and jade carving, and a Maori pa. Te Puia Thermal Reserve - boiling mud pools, hot springs and exploding geysers, including lively Pohutu geyser which erupts up to 100 feet! Rainbow Springs Nature Park - a guided tour of the freshwater springs. View the rainbow and brown trout from an underwater viewing gallery and see New
Zealand’s national icon, the Kiwi. Agrodome Show - a "must see" entertaining stage show starring sheep shearing, live sheep auction, cow milking (you try it!); feeding cute cuddly baby lambs and an outdoor sheep dog trial.
